A Message Regarding the PerkinElmer Medical Imaging Division Acquisition

As of May 1, 2017, the PerkinElmer Medical Imaging Division is now legally part of Varex Imaging Corporation. I want to welcome our new employees to the Varex Imaging family!

We are very excited about the opportunities and prospects of adding this imaging expertise into the Varex Imaging organization. I look forward to having the combined team focused on integrating our operations to achieve our goal of producing the broadest, most cost-effective portfolio of components for the imaging industry.

The merging of the two businesses is a great fit: the PerkinElmer products are complementary to the Varex Imaging detector business. As previously mentioned, through this acquisition, we will be able to offer our customers new digital technology.

During the second quarter results teleconference scheduled for this Thursday, May 4, we will be providing more details and information regarding this acquisition.
