Varex Imaging at ECR 2017

At this year’s annual meeting of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR), Varex Imaging will exhibit a comprehensive line of imaging components to include digital detectors, X-ray tubes and imaging software for fluoroscopy, angiography, cardiology, and cone-beam CT imaging.

PaxScan® Wireless Radiographic Detectors

Varex will highlight two wireless detector models: PaxScan 4336W and PaxScan 2530W.  The lightweight, cassette size, portable 43cm x 36cm detector can generate images very quickly.  Though the panel is inside a cassette tray or below the X-ray table, the wireless transmission rates stay consistently high. The space efficient 25cm x 30cm portable radiographic panel is designed with special imaging modes for use in imaging extremities, and is compatible for neonatal procedures as well as mid-size radiographic applications. These radiographic applications include dental Cone Beam CT (CBCT) and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) procedures. The 2530W panel has extended battery life and is interchangeable with the 4336W detector battery.

 

MCS 8064

The 8064 X-ray tube is an anode end grounded (AEG) replacement X-ray tube for the GE LightSpeed® VCT scanner offering lower life cycle costs. The MCS-8064 was designed with Varex’s experience of manufacturing anode end grounded CT tubes over 20+ years.  The MCS-8064 installs and calibrates on the LightSpeed® VCT like the original OEM tube.  Now with a full 12 month warranty!

 

Cardinal CT Tube

The new Cardinal CT tube is being designed into new CT equipment and is also a direct replacement for the Stargate/CTR-2150 tube. The Cardinal has a high heat capacity with excellent image quality and throughput allowing for quicker imaging, which translates into cost savings for medical facilities.

 

Nexus Imaging Software & Workstation

Nexus is an advanced image processing software and workstation with complete flexibility for processing data from mixed inputs: CCD cameras, legacy image intensifier systems and RF and DR flat panel image detectors.  The Nexus digital imaging system offers RF & DR capabilities on a single console and features sophisticated image processing and integrated on-screen generator control. The Nexus product offering can be integrated into any X-ray room, extending the lifetime of existing equipment, reducing time to market for new system development, and providing a budget-friendly solution for today’s market.

 

Claymount

Dose Efficient X-ray Collimators:  Claymount will feature Optica collimators intended for integration into human radiography and fluoroscopy imaging systems. The Optica collimators feature a robust, lightweight design with a range of filtration options, including the ability to prevent patients from being exposed to useless low-energy X-ray spectrums and to meet requirements for pediatric imaging.  Also featured will be high voltage connectors, ionization chambers and solid state automatic exposure control systems for controlling dose during medical X-ray imaging.  

 

MeVis

MeVis will present software solutions focusing on lung cancer diagnostics and interactive e-learning technology in medicine.

Veolity is the most advanced software package supporting lung cancer diagnostics. Its modules LungCAD, Veolity LungCAD+, and Veolity LungScreening will be showcased. They are created complementarily for specific requests and different throughput environments in the early detection of lung cancer: to improve diagnostic quality, to refine image data analysis if required, and to obtain well-structured, efficient follow-up particularly with regard to lung cancer screening.

Based on MeVis Online Academy, solutions and platforms will be presented for web-based, installation-free, interactive online training including options to exchange image data for further consultations.

Integrated radiological case collections with verified solutions demonstrate key functions and options for extensions according to the customer`s needs.
